The 12th National Festival of Architecture in Minsk

The 12th National Festival of Architecture was held from November 9 to November 11 in Minsk, capital of the Republic of Belarus. This event has been held by the public association "Belarusian Union of Architects" since 1999 and it traditionally attracts interest of professional architects from the CIS countries, Europe and Asia.

This year more than 80 most interesting projects from architects from around the world have been represented in Minsk. Designers from Belarus, Russia, the People's Republic of China, Latvia, Poland, Turkey, Germany and other countries came together on the festival. There are both classical buildings, and ultramodern objects among the offered projects, many of which can soon decorate streets of Minsk.

There were seminars and master classes in the program of a three days' festival, four tens of various exhibitions were held: exhibition of architectural schools of member countries, exhibition of interiors and design, exhibition of art and competitive works, exhibition of personal and collective expositions. The results of the international competitions were summed up; lectures and roundtable discussions were given. Within the festival the 7th international Biennial of young architects "Leonardo-2017" has also been held, where more than 100 beginning authors from 15 countries participated.

OP NII PKD, LLC, the exclusive dealer of LATO in the Republic of Belarus, was a sponsor of the 12th National Festival of Architecture and also organized an exposition of the delivered finishing materials. LATONIT fiber cement facade materials - the painted facade panels and the fiber cement siding both smooth, and with texture "wood grain" were represented as a part of this exposition. A special interest of participants and visitors was taken by the anti-vandal facade panels intended for facing of the first storeys of facades of city buildings.
